Fun stay for a super snowy Christmas 2025 The rooms have clearly been updated and were clean and comfortable during our stay. There’s a working hot tub and a sauna, which were both nice bonuses, and some of the artwork in the rooms is done by Danny, the manager, we stayed in the Hemingway room. This is still a modest, no-frills place, it’s worth noting that many of the very negative reviews seem tied to past ownership. Our experience did not reflect those issues, and it’s a solid option if you keep expectations realistic.
The rooms were clean, but had a lot of wear and tear. For example, the shower was very hard to turn on, there was some black mold in the bathroom, the weather stripping under the door had cracked. We were pleasantly surprised to find it had a small kitchenette with a microwave and fridge.
It's an old building. But everything is good for the price we pay. I will stay next winter too. Staircase should be cleaned. Bathroom tile should be replaced, too old. If not, I would have put five stars. I recommend this motel for visitors come to June Lake and Mammoth Lake.
Absolutely stunning location. I visit here often and this place used to be in a lot worse shape. But these new owners have done and are doing so much to make this place shine. It is truly a magical place and I definitely recommend visiting.
Not too shabby. The room we stayed in had recently had some renovations and was pretty nice. The beds were comfy and quite spacious, we were surprised. There are still some updates needed and they don't have AC. Some more hooks or a Countertop in the bathroom would have been nice, but it was a good stay.
The finest 2 star hotel ever! The owners are fantastic and accommodating. Perfect location for a weekend on the hill. Definitely coming back!
In our trip around the mountains this was my favourite place to stay. The room was great, I loved the little kitchen area and there were plenty of towels. It was clean and comfortable but the lady at reception was not the most friendly. The view however was breathtaking.
Stayed here for opening weekend of fishing season. Nice room that was very quiet even with a road nearby. Everytime we had a question about something we called and they answered very quickly.
